Privacy Policy — Barrel Brigade
Overview
Barrel Brigade (the "App") is published by HashCoreAI. We respect your privacy. This policy explains what data the App handles, what third-party services it uses, and your rights.
The short version: we don't ask you to sign in. We don't build a profile of you. The App stores your progress locally on your device. Ads and in-app purchases are handled by Google and Apple under their own policies.
Data we collect ourselves
We do not require an account and do not ask for personal information such as your name, email, or phone number. Your progress, coins, and settings (including your mute preference) are saved locally on your device using PlayerPrefs / NSUserDefaults storage.
The App does, however, send anonymous analytics, crash reports, and a push token to Google Firebase services that we operate on the App's behalf. Details are in the next section.
Google Firebase services
The App uses Google Firebase, provided by Google LLC. Firebase acts as a data processor on our behalf. The specific services we use are:
- Firebase Analytics — collects anonymous gameplay and usage events (for example: level started, level completed, store opened, purchase initiated) so we can understand how players interact with the App and improve it. No personally identifying information is collected. On iOS, Analytics respects your App Tracking Transparency choice (see below).
- Firebase Crashlytics — automatically collects crash reports and stack traces when the App crashes, so we can fix bugs. Reports include device model, OS version, App version, and a non-identifying installation ID. They do not contain your name, email, contact information, or gameplay-content data. Crash and performance data are not used for advertising.
- Firebase Cloud Messaging (FCM) — used to deliver optional push notifications. A device push token is stored by Google on our behalf; the token itself is not linked to your identity. You can disable push notifications at any time in your device Settings.
- Firebase Remote Config — fetches non-personal game configuration values from our servers (for example, gameplay balance tweaks). Only a Firebase Installation ID is sent; no user data.
Data processed by Firebase is governed by Google's Privacy Policy and the Firebase Privacy and Security documentation.
Third-party services that may collect data
The App also embeds the following third-party SDKs, which collect data according to their own privacy policies:
- Google AdMob — serves the in-game ads and the rewarded ads that grant extra coins or revives. AdMob may collect a device advertising identifier (IDFA), approximate location (derived from IP), device type, OS version, and ad-interaction events. See Google's Privacy Policy.
- Google User Messaging Platform (UMP) — shows the GDPR / consent prompt in European Economic Area regions and stores your consent choice.
- Apple In-App Purchase (StoreKit) — handles all coin pack purchases. Receipts and billing are processed by Apple under Apple's Privacy Policy. We never see your payment details.
App Tracking Transparency (iOS)
On iOS 14.5 and later, before ad partners access your device's advertising identifier (IDFA), the system shows Apple's App Tracking Transparency prompt. You can deny tracking — the App still works, and you still see ads (they're just non-personalized).
GDPR / EEA users
If you live in the European Economic Area, the UK, or Switzerland, the Google UMP consent screen appears the first time you open the App. You can refuse personalized advertising; non-personalized ads will be shown instead. You can change your choice anytime by reinstalling the App or contacting us.
Children's privacy
The App is rated for ages 9+ and is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect data from children. If you believe a child has provided information through one of the third-party SDKs, please contact us and we will help direct your request.
Data sharing
We do not sell, rent, or share data with data brokers. Firebase services act as our data processors, and AdMob / Apple StoreKit / UMP operate under their own published policies as described above.
Data retention
Analytics events and crash reports collected via Firebase are retained for up to 14 months and then automatically deleted by Google. Aggregated, non-identifying statistics may be retained longer. Push tokens are deleted when you uninstall the App or disable notifications. Locally stored progress and settings remain on your device until you delete the App or clear its storage.
Your rights
Depending on your region (including the EEA, UK, Switzerland, and California), you may have the right to access, correct, or erase data held about you, to object to or restrict certain processing, to portability, and to lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority.
To exercise these rights with respect to data we hold via Firebase, email contact@hashcoreai.com with the subject line "Privacy Request". Include your platform (iOS / Android) and approximate dates of use so we can locate the relevant Firebase Installation ID. We will respond within 30 days.
For data held by AdMob or Apple StoreKit, requests should be directed to the relevant provider under their own policies.

Changes to this policy
We may update this policy when the App changes (for example, when we add a new SDK). Material changes will be reflected by updating the "Last updated" date above.
